About Lanna Gym:

Lanna Boxing Camp, better known in Thailand as “Kiat Busaba”, is a professional boxing camp in Thailand’s northern capital city of Chiang Mai. Owned and managed as a family concern,we have worked hard over several years together with our young Thai boxers to achieve success at the top level of competition as well as being considered one of the best Northern Muay Thai Training centres.
In the pleasant surroundings of our camp, as we train everyday, we offer the opportunity for people to train professionally and gain insight and understanding of the ancient art of Muay Thai.
We have four full time trainers who are experienced and hard working former professional boxers dedicated to training others in the Art of Muay Thai. We have all had many years experience training people from around the world and will continue to do so for many years to come.

The Gym

Partially roofed, open on three sides, there are currently 9 punching bags of various sizes and weight. A speed ball, punch ball, sit-up benches, chin up bar, skipping ropes, mirror and free weights make up the floor equipment. There are two official size boxing rings under their own roofs.

Training / Fighting

Training varies daily, depending on each boxers ability, fitness level and fight schedule.
The boxers will fight once every 3-4 weeks depending on the season and availability of match ups. Fights occur year round with the busiest time between October and March when there are many country fairs and festivals.

Foreign boxers, after assessment by our manager, may be matched up against local Thai boxers at all levels of competition.

When any of our boxers are fighting, everyone goes along, to offer support, help in preparing the boxer and work the corner during the fight.

These trips to the country fairs or local stadiums are an important part to learning and understanding Muay Thai.
