About Rawai Gym:
Rawai Muaythai Camp has been established as a Thai boxing gym for over two decades. The gym is an open hanger style training facility that allows the breeze to pass through the gym & cool down the training area, seeing the coconut & banana trees while you are training gives you a constent reminder that you are training in the tropics.
In 2002 Rawai Muaythai Camp opened its doors to foregin students, new bungalows were built to accommodate the comforts our foregin students, improvements were made to the bungalows such as Cable TV & DVD players, hot showers, toilets with a seat, WiFi internet connection, fridge & coffee making faclities.
In 2004 Rawai Muaythai Camp was voted the number 1 Gym in Southern Thailand for foregin students & every year since we have remained the most popular Thai boxing gym in southern Thailand.

Training:
Morning Run Starts @ 7am (The morning run is not compulsory.)
5 km (Beginners Run) - flat road, average time 30 minutes 6 km (Nai harn beach) flat run around the beach & back to the gym, average time 40 minutes 7 km (Advanced Runners) - flat road with a couple of gradual inclines, average time 45 minutes 10 km (Advanced Runners) - 60% flat road 40% Hills, average time 1 hour (Farang Bar Hill) 13 km (Advanced Runners) - 50% flat road 50% Hills, average time 1.5 hours (Lem Prom Tep) 20 km (Advanced Runners) - 40% flat road 60 % Hills, average time 2 hours (Kata Beach)
Warm -up 10 minutes Stretching 15 - 20 minutes Skipping. 10 minutes of shadow boxing
Bag Work 4 x 3 minute rounds of punching & kicking the boxing bags
In The Ring: learning new technique & sparing with your personal trainer
Endurance: 30 - 40 minutes of strength building exercises, Sit-ups, Pull ups & weight training Finish your training with 20 - 30 minutes of stretching.

Afternoon Training
Warm -up 20 minutes of stretching and shadow boxing 30 - 40 minutes skipping
Bag Work: 5 x 3 minute rounds punching & kicking on a heavy bag
In The Ring: Pad work with Personal Trainer - High Cardio - Kicking, Punching, Knees, Elbows, Grappling & Lots of it !
Endurance: Working on the boxing bags.... 200 Front kicks 200 Knees 20 minutes of sit ups Finish afternoon with 20 - 30 minutes of stretching & 10 - 15 minutes in the Herbal Steam Room
Many students like to do a late night training session Weight training, stretching, etc ... The gym is open till 10pm for those that want to do extra training @ night.

Location:
Many of our students say it is the beach that first attracts them to Rawai Muaythai Camp. Swimming at the beach after training is a favorite past time for most of our students. Rawai Muaythai Camp is less than 2 km from beautiful Nai harn beach.
